Welcome to MLA Citation Help. This site is designed to help students understand the citation process and the MLA citation style.  Read the instructions, print the pages, and you're ready to go!

  1. Before you begin researching, print a few copies of the Citation Data Form.  Use the forms to collect the citation information for each of your research sources. 
     

  2. Before you begin writing, read the MLA Citation Guide so you will understand all three parts of the MLA citation style. 
     

  3. When you begin writing, use the examples in the guide to help create your citations.
